Meet Our Founder: Alicia Feller, LCSW 

A wellness center has been the dream of Alicia Feller for several years and is finally realized in the creation of joYou Wellness. She enjoys working with people to help them develop a mastery over their well-being. Empathy, encouragement and empowerment, are the cornerstones of her approach. She uses a holistic approach focusing on mind-body-spirit connection. Alicia can blend traditional talk therapy with energy work and creates a customized plan of care for each individual she works with.

Alicia specializes in Holistic Stress Management which compliments her 25+ years of experience as a clinical social worker in the Behavioral Health field. She is proud to hold a master’s degree in Integrated Health and Healing from The Graduate Institute. Ever since she started a spiritual and intellectual journey in 2009, Alicia has acquired many certifications and specialties. Her many achievements include Certification as a Holistic Stress Management Instructor, a Hypnotherapist, and as an Acudetox Specialist. Alicia is particularly drawn to energy work and has her Level Two Reiki certification as well as a certification in space clearing.

Alicia is a clinical social worker committed to working with you in a collaborative manner to help you achieve optimal emotional well being and personal growth. She has over 25 years experience working with individuals and families, helping them move past some of the challenges that life hands us. You too can make the change you want and/or need. 

Alicia lives her practice and relishes the time she spends with family and friends. With her heightened sense of adventure, she loves traveling and is always looking for the next fun challenge. One of her core beliefs is that one grows the most when they step outside of their comfort zone.

Stephanie Perez, LPC

With almost 5 years of experience Stephanie is bilingual and bicultural and has solid experience working with young adults in college settings as well as with youth 12 and up. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, it is her passion to empower individuals to live a happy and healthy life. Now is your time to heal and work through your emotions with a counselor who is compassionate, understanding, and respectful of your personal view points.

Stephanie's approach is person-centered and solution focused, which places an emphasis on YOU and your views as an individual. Her goal is to have her clients feel valued and empowered throughout this process. People often seek therapy when they feel like they have an issue to sort out, but what if you knew you had the skills to get through any challenges you face currently and moving forward? Her role is to bring out those innate skills you possess and to sort out your thoughts and find hope.

Sheri Gruner, LPC

Sheri Gruner (she/her/hers) is a board certified Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who is experienced in supporting people with depression, anxiety, substance use disorders, and difficulty adjusting to major life changes.

She completed graduate school at the University of Bridgeport in 2016 and has since been helping people in various settings including an inpatient hospital, outpatient, and mobile crisis. Although she has worked with all age groups, she is most enthusiastic about helping adults.

She incorporates various therapeutic techniques including client centered, strengths based, and solution focused. She is passionate about empowering others to identify and achieve their mental health goals in order to encourage a more positive, fulfilling life.

Sheri believes in creating a safe and supportive environment for therapy sessions, is culturally competent, and is LGBTQ+ affirming.

Melissa Kascak, Certified Life Coach

Melissa is a personal and professional coach who specializes in helping working mothers reconnect with themselves and create sustainable balance in their lives. As founder of Fit Yourself In, she offers a compassionate, holistic approach that addresses the connection between stress, overwhelm, and overall well-being. Her coaching philosophy centers on helping women rediscover their authentic selves while navigating the demands of modern motherhood.

Drawing from her background in creative arts and organizational leadership, Melissa brings both intuitive insight and practical tools to her practice. She currently serves as Director of Operations for Summit Success, a global personal development firm, where she applies her understanding of human potential and growth. A graduate of the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Melissa lives in Newtown, CT with her husband and their two young sons, personally embodying the work-life harmony she guides her clients toward.

Cara Tonucci

Cara is a holistic healer, trauma-informed yoga teacher, & intuitive energy practitioner who blends somatic (body) awareness with sacred ritual to support deep healing & reconnection. With a heart-centered approach, she helps clients release stored tension, energetic blockages, & return to the wisdom of the body.

She holds certifications in Trauma-Informed Yoga, Restorative Yoga, & Power Yoga, is certified in Usui Reiki Levels I & II, & trained in shamanic healing arts rooted in the ancient wisdom of the Quechua shamans of Peru.

Sarah Guerette, LMSW

Sarah is a licensed master of social work (LMSW) and certified School Social worker with the state of Connecticut. She has experience working with adults and adolescents in public schools, inpatient, crisis, and community settings. Sarah was drawn to social work by a desire to help people reach their potential.

Sarah’s approach to therapy is to guide her clients to find compassion and purpose for the pieces of themselves that they are struggling with so they can reach balance and self acceptance. In Sarah’s experience in schools she has direct knowledge of the special education system and has helped students and their families navigate challenges including social and school based anxiety, school avoidance, and peer conflict. Her intention is to provide a safe and non judgmental space to support you in reaching your goals.

Leah Foster, LMSW

Leah is a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker with nearly four years of experience in individual, group, and family clinical practice as well as community organizing. She has worked extensively with children, adolescents, and young adults navigating a range of challenges including depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, and life transitions. Leah integrates evidence-based practices into her clinical work, striving to create a supportive and inclusive environment where every individual feels safe, understood, and empowered. Her approach is grounded in cultural competence, creativity, and a commitment to client-centered care.

Since completing her Masters Degree from the University of Connecticut School of Social Work in 2022, Leah has been deeply committed to supporting the well-being of individuals and strengthening the communities she serves.
